Day Twenty-nine - Luxor

Wednesday 30th June 2010

Woke up with a start, sunshine pouring through the window, at 7am, our plans for an early morning wander through Luxor Temple scuppered by the lack of an alarm. We decided to go anyway and rolled out of bed, straight into yesterdays clothes and out of the door. The air was already quite warm when we walked round the temple trying to find the ticket office. Having looked round one side we were told that it was on the other, already hot and sweaty it was enough to send us back to the hotel, where I spent the est of the morning until 11am, curled up in a ball watching The Top Gear Special feeling sorry for myself because of period pain.

From Luxor, Egypt

1m rolled round and we were collected by the agency Djalma booked our cruise through and taken to the ship, M/S Nile Plaza which as a fair way down the River. We checked in, got fed, and slept all afternoon, got up hungry and watched 'The Informant' with a fat Matt Damon, trying to take our minds off our now empty tummies until dinner. A not very special silver served dinner awaited us, we ate, left and soon enough were back in bed. A very uneventful day.
